Master Marketing was originally founded in 1976 as KBR, Inc., a manufacturer’s representative company.
Recognizing the growing demand for commercial kitchen solutions, the company expanded in 1984 by establishing a wholesale distribution division to supply Litton Microwaves. Over the years, the company continued to grow and evolve, and in 1991, it underwent a strategic reorganization, rebranding as Master Marketing to better reflect its expanding role in the industry.
Similarly, Sunlow has a long-standing history of excellence, dating back over 50 years. In 1958, the company introduced Barlow & Associates, a manufacturer’s representative division specializing in food service solutions. By 1986, the division evolved into Sunlow Associates, solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner in food service distribution. Sunlow’s continued growth and industry expertise positioned it as a leader in the market, making it a natural partner for Master Marketing.
Recognizing the opportunity to create a stronger, more innovative company, Master Marketing & Sunlow officially joined forces in September 2001, combining their expertise to become the Southeast’s premier Manufacturer’s Representative & Wholesale Distribution Company. This partnership allowed us to expand our product offerings, strengthen our relationships with manufacturers and clients, and deliver unmatched service to the food service industry.
